Tyce Jones, Project 1

Im still debating on color for the spreads, but it should have this feel throughout the book.

I'm planning on 2 hardcover books, standard landscape, which will be $63.90.

  1. I agree with the number of illustrations to a page. Also, I think it's interesting how your text boxes are different sizes for each page on the spread, but one thing to consider is the right margin on the right page. There needs to be "finger" room.

  2. Wow! This makes me really excited to read alice, i feel like you have done a very good job on creating a different world within the story. It really brings alot alive. The vector is very impact full and the contrast is perfect! i cant wait to see your other pages, but i do think that the rabit hole, makes it look kind of like a space book (like the words are the planet?)

  3. Love it!! I really like where you are going with it. The color is especially pleasing to the eye and I like the bright bold colors you picked.

I agree with Christina on the holding room on the pages. I would try and make this margin cohesive to every page. I think it will give it more of a polished feel and help out your book.

  4. Sweet cover!!! and your color schemes are really cohesive, the design reminds me of album artwork...I agree that you need to figure out some color for the chapter spreads but maybe not as much as you used on the front cover because that would be hard to read after a while. You are doing great..looks awesome!:)

  5. Tyce your amazing. I love what you have done, super cool. The chapter title pages seem a little cluttered though.

  6. This is great! I think you have done an amazing job. One thing to consider is the spine of the book and the gutters... depending on what type of cover you are doing, make sure you check what parts of your illustrations will be on the spine and towards the middle of the pages. you don't want to cut out any important or awesome details.

I am not sure how I feel about your typefaces in the body text... the different sizing feels awkward. I think that needs some more thought and finessing on the details.

  7. I love the mood you're creating! The cover imagery is great. What other colors are in your scheme? I like the start of your body text, like danelle said, just a little finessing to make all the different sizing work together?
